This Refund & Cancellation Policy ("Policy") outlines the default cancellation and refund terms for events booked through Prestige Event Group and the PayGala platform. Please read this Policy carefully before confirming your reservation.

Disclaimer: This policy is a default template. Individual venue policies may vary. Your signed contract terms take precedence over this general policy.

1. Cancellation by Client

If you need to cancel your event, the refund amount depends on how far in advance you notify us before the scheduled event date. All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing.

The notice period is calculated from the date we receive your written cancellation request to the scheduled event date.

2. Cancellation by Venue

If the venue cancels your event for any reason within its control, you are entitled to a full refund of all payments made, including deposits and processing fees. The refund will be processed within 5 to 10 business days of the cancellation notice.

3. Deposits

A deposit is required to secure your event date. Deposit amounts vary by venue and will be specified in your booking agreement.

  • Deposits are fully refundable if the cancellation request is received within 30 days of the deposit payment date
  • After 30 days from the deposit payment date, deposits are non-refundable regardless of the event date
  • In the event of a venue cancellation, deposits are always fully refundable

4. Force Majeure

If your event cannot take place due to circumstances beyond the reasonable control of either party, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, government orders, or other force majeure events, the following options will be offered:

  • Full credit toward a future event at the same venue, valid for 12 months from the original event date
  • Rescheduling to an alternative date at no additional charge, subject to venue availability

Force majeure determinations are made on a case-by-case basis. PayGala platform fees may be credited or waived at our discretion in force majeure situations.

5. How to Request a Cancellation

To request a cancellation, please contact the venue directly using the contact information provided in your booking confirmation. You may also reach our support team for assistance:

Please include your booking reference number, event date, and reason for cancellation in your request. You will receive a written confirmation of your cancellation within 2 business days.

6. Refund Processing Timeline

Once a cancellation is approved, refunds are processed as follows:

  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method used at the time of booking
  • Processing time is 5 to 10 business days from the date of cancellation approval
  • Your bank or credit card issuer may require additional time to reflect the refund on your statement

7. Platform Fees

PayGala platform fees, including processing fees, service fees, and technology fees, are non-refundable once charged, unless the cancellation is initiated by the venue. Please review your booking agreement for a breakdown of applicable fees.

8. Event Modifications

If you wish to modify your event rather than cancel (e.g., change the date, guest count, or package), please contact the venue directly. Modifications are subject to venue availability and may incur additional charges. A modification does not constitute a cancellation and will not trigger this refund policy.
